Shopify website

Sophie has grown a large and loyal customer base for her jewellery store through social media, and she was sick of directing her audience to Etsy where she was paying huge fees and commission on every sale. She had set the basics on a Shopify store up previously, but never got round to finishing it and making it live, admitting tech wasn’t her interest or her forte. I basically bulldozed what had been created previously (sometimes it’s the best way!) and started from scratch, taking Sophie’s existing brand and ensuring this was totally ingrained in her new Shopify store.

The challenge:

Sophie was so used to Etsy that moving to another platform was daunting – a big part of my role in this project was ensuring the website was setup in a way that made it as easy as possible for Sophie to manage the site going forward.

The solution:

At the end of the project, I ensured the handover document provided user guides that went step-by-step through the tasks Sophie would need to do to manage and upkeep the website, including updating text and images, adding new products, and managing inventory. Sophie has since told me making the move to her own website is ‘the best thing she’s ever done’.
